What to Do the Night Before Your Boudoir Photo Shoot

"Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful."

~ Sophia Lauren

Boudoir photography can be a fun and empowering experience, but it's important to be prepared for your session. Here are some tips on how to get ready the night before your photoshoot.

Pack Your Clothing and Intimate Items for Your Boudoir Look

Make sure you have all the outfits you want to wear, along with any special lingerie, shoes, or cover-ups that will complement your look. Packing various options is a good idea so you can mix and match and create different looks during your shoot.

Have a Spa Night

Why not?! Take some time to pamper yourself before your photoshoot. Have a relaxing bath, moisturize your skin, and give yourself a manicure and pedicure. This will not only help you to feel more relaxed and confident but it will also ensure that you look your best in your photos.

Carefully Pack Your Accessories

When it comes to packing your accessories, be careful and thoughtful. Make sure you have all the jewelry and props you want to use during your shoot but try not to overpack. Remember, less is more! You don't want to be weighed down by too many accessories or have them distract from your natural beauty.

If You Think You Need It, Bring It!

Don't hesitate to bring any special items that you think will help make your photo shoot a success. This could be anything from a special perfume to a sentimental piece of jewelry. Just make sure that it's something that will help you feel confident and comfortable during your shoot.

Stay Out of The Sun

Sunburns, sunspots, tan lines, or peeling skin can be distracting in photos and can take away from the overall look you are trying to achieve. So, if you're planning to spend some time outside, make sure you wear sunscreen and cover up as much as possible.

Input Studio Directions into Your GPS

You don't want to be late or get lost on the way to your photoshoot. Double-check the address and make sure you know exactly how to get there. If you're driving, also make sure to factor in any potential traffic or parking issues.

Drink Plenty of Water

End the night with a glass of water and start with one too! This will help keep your skin looking fresh and hydrated, which is especially important for boudoir photography. Proper hydration will also help you feel more energized and focused during your shoot.

Get a Good Night's Rest

Being well-rested will not only help you look and feel your best, but it will also help you to be more alert and engaged during your shoot. Try to avoid staying up late or engaging in any activities that might disrupt your sleep.
