"If you don't think photos are important, wait until they are all you have left."
What comes after the photo session? You dressed up and got pampered for a day. The flashing lights and rapid clicks have come to an end. Your photo session is finished. Now what? Selection and editing. Your photographer will cull through your photos and beautifully enhance them and afterward reveal all of your best images.
You pick the photos and then what? There's still an important decision to be made. You have to decide how to store and display your images. After all, art should be stored and centered in a place to be admired. There are a variety of ways to do so and below a few are shared.
Digital Archive
If you are looking for a way to store or archive your images, digital archiving is the way to go, especially if you have hundreds of photos. Having hundreds of photos doesn't seem implausible when considering trillions of photos are taken a year; and when you love having your portrait taken, you'll be surprised how many images you hold near and dear.
Digital archiving allows you to store multiple images in less space. This should not be the only way your photos are kept, of course, because your photographs ought to be viewed. However, digital archiving allows you to have a backup in case anything happens to your photos. I recommend having a physical hard drive over cloud storage only.
Photo Albums
Photo albums allow you to both store and display your beautiful photos. There's something about opening photo albums and being greeted by visions of sweet memories and paper. They can be designed in so many ways! You can also take it a step further and create a photo book. Both can be displayed nicely on counters and bookshelves.
Photo Art
Photo art is one of my favorites because of the many different ways photos can be crafted into art for one's wall. Every year, a new way to display images is produced. Of late, wood, metal, and acrylic prints have become popular.
Still, it's not only the material that you can get creative with, you can also change up the design, look, and style. Create a span image divided over six panels or personalize a fine art metal cut into different shapes. The possibilities are endless.
Framed Images
Last, but not least, framed images are a photo classic. Frames elevate any image. From a variety of looks, elegant with gold ornate frames to contemporary with sleek black steel frames. There is a frame for everyone and every photo.
