It is International Women's Day and as a black female entrepreneur, photographer, and creative, I had to start off my highlights of black women in photography. Here are some of the amazing black women photographers carving out their own lane and killing the photography game right now.

Kazim is a photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa whose intimate portraits are truly authentic. Her work is influenced by multicultural exposure allowing her to connect with a wide audience and create work that resonates.

Quamina-Woo is a story-telling photographer whose work is culturally grounded and explores community trauma. Her work illustrates the importance of representation, particularly in global stories.

Shingi Rice (@bluespit)

Rice is a self-taught fashion and portrait photographer based in London. After seeing the lack of representation while traveling, she committed herself to fill this area creating powerful portraits of women of color and people with disabilities, of different ages, and of all sizes.
